In Jersey City, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across New Jersey do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 3–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Jersey City is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Jersey City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New Jersey's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Great Italian food in what appears to be the ground floor of an old house. Reminds me of Jule's in the Jersey City Heights before it closed. Laico was short-staffed the night we went but did their best and the waits were not bad. If you go to a place like this during the World Cup and expect anything other than full-on football ⚽️ you'll be disappointed lol. We knew what we were getting into! There is generally no available street parking so expect to use the valet if you drive, and you're best to make a dinner reservation on the weekend.

You're in the middle of a residential area. My husband and I ubered there and well worth it! The atmosphere....the flavor...the service...amount of food. So fresh and addictive! Hands down the best Italian food we have ever had! I would give them 20 stars if I could!

Excellently prepared food and extensive selection items on the menu. Service was great mostly especially by the manager. Had reserved but upon arriving were initially sat by a young lady at the lower back area next to a very loud table of four each shouting more than the other. When asked to be moved, we’re promptly accommodated to the main room, but at a small table which the manager saw and put together a table to accommodate the salad bowl, bread basket, and bottle of water we had requested. The bus boy was then able to have some working room to set the dishes onto. We had eggplant rollatini which was delicious and plentiful for an appetizer. We followed with a pork chop Milanesa and a veal parmigiana with linguine. Both were fantastic and plentiful. My wife had a couple of glasses of decent Chardonnay. We topped the meal off with a great tartufo and a double espresso that was the size of a triple. All in all, the place has character, outstanding food, and fair prices. We went over from Staten Island and it is definitely on our radar, although there is no shortage of excellent places here. We will go back!!

First time dining here, although my family had been here once before. After seeing so much on social media and hearing by word of mouth that this restaurant had some of the best Italian food, I came in with high expectations. Overall, it was good at best, but not quite what I expected. The complimentary bread and salad were both very good and a nice start to the meal. We ordered baked clams, clams casino, fried calamari, and for entrΓ©es, chicken parm and lobster ravioli. The baked clams were good, but the clams casino was not what I typically expect from a traditional version. There was no noticeable bacon, and while it was okay, it lacked the flavor profile I usually associate with that dish. The chicken parm was very good and probably the highlight of the meal. The lobster ravioli, on the other hand, could have been better. The pasta was too thick and slightly hard, and the lobster filling was mushy, which made me question whether it was made in-house, sourced from a pasta vendor, or possibly a frozen product. The dish felt heavy overall, and I couldn’t finish it, so we ended up taking it home. Service was fine and the atmosphere was pleasant, but overall the meal did not ful
